Fruition of the Flow comprises a cast of a wooden waveform sculpture that consists of 280 sections of end-grain timber. A rubber mould was made of the wooden sculpture and then a cast was created from the mould, using a white, eco-resin called Jesmonite, that has a stone-like appearance.
Fruition of the Flow has an internal smart control system, connected to state-of-the-art LEDs that are concealed within the wooden outer frame. This enables interaction with the sculpture via an app and allows the selection of colours, programming of sequences and an almost infinite variety of lighting effects. The piece can be integrated into any smart home system and can also access the microphone in any smartphone or handheld device, transforming the sound that is sensed into a synchronised audio-visual display.
